AutoCAD Map 3D supports multi-platform
AutoCAD Map 3D 2009 is the only one of the product in Autodesk, it has been certified by Citrix XenApp softwares. So it can be claimed that it supports multi-platform (e.g. Windows, Linux & OS X). I have tested and captured some screen shots as following:
Testing environment :
Because I received the XenApp which is installed in the image of VMware, so I use VMware Fusion of Macbook pro to open and run it. The operating system is the Windows Server 2003. 2G of ram is allocated.

As above picture I try to access the XenApp from Windows XP. I just enter the IP, it will automatically forward to proper directory of XenApp server. I try to open file and play around the interface. It is like to run in local harddisk. This is really cool!

As above picture I try to open the Map 3D using my Macbook-pro. Because I use Macbook pro for the virtual machine server and it was used half memory to running it, so it seems it runs more slowly than Windows XP. Anyway I can open it using OSX!!

As above picture I try to use low-end machine "MacMini-G4 w/1G memory" to open XenApp application. I can feel that if I have XenApp server, I can work in anywhere!!
Personally speaking, Citrix XenApp can be help the CAD user to remotely accessed an updated file through secure tunnel. Because it only need a basic machine, you can easy to find a machine even you are in internet cafe. For the IT administrator point of view, they can easy to do maintenance task. Both of the hardware and software can be accessed in one location.

You can access remote file, except that you can also open file in local drive. The above picture shows you able to use local harddisk file.
Someone tried to use XenApp as the Mac application and places the icon on the dock of OSX. It really cool.

There is someone to demonstrate how to implement it into Ubuntu operation system and show Map 3D to open 3D architectural model.

License issue
I would like to share more experience about using XenApp.
About the User setting of XenApp, it isn't able to access from two machines which is used the same WinNT login. Also the previous setting can be saved, so that you can use the previous working environment from any machine.
It will be terminated the first Map 3D if you try to use same WinNT login to double login to the XenApp server.
Finally I found that this XenApp was installed standalone version of Map 3D, but I can use two differ WinNT login and open the Map 3D at the same time. So it raised the license issue.
