Map 3D in one minute - Bidirectional update
Generally speaking, Spatial Data Infrastructures should be involved a huge of data. Vector, raster & spatial RDBMs maybe the one of spatial data format. Obviously it shouldn't accessed by one department. They are cooperative work together. So Spatial RDBMS can provide a tool, it allows user to do multi-user access, long transaction and versioning control...etc.

Map 3D provides a tool called FDO, in which it able to natively accessed different kind of spatial RDBMs (e.g. ArcSDE, Microsoft SQL server, PostgreSQL, MySQL...). so that User doesn't need to consider which db they ar using. It provides the "check-out" & "check-in" functionality to update db directly.
For this video clip I would like to show how Map3D deals with spatial RDBMs (e.g. MySQL). In which Map 3D connects feature data via MySQL database. Once the connection is done, wherever the user update MySQL db through web application or use check-out/ in functionally by Map 3D. The feature data can be keep up-to-date.
