AutoCAD Map 3D - How to Create a Workflow from Scratch

AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 is just around the corner. This is so exciting, the LiDAR data can be manipulated in the CAD platform software e.g. AutoCAD 2011, AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 & AutoCAD Map 3D 2011.

Now the new data source - LIDAR data sets/ 3D laser scanning can be imported and visualized within AutoCAD Map 3D software. Also you can stylize point clouds by LAS classification, spatial extents, elevation, or intensity. Point clouds can be used to create DEM surfaces, make measurement or new 3D features using standard AutoCAD drafting tools.

Most of the AEC peoples may not know about the file format "FBX"; recently I was using the FBX file format for helping to print the 3D model to the 3D printer. A year ago there is no solution for printing the 3D model directly.
