The Autodesk Civil 3D can be provided to implement the civil engineering tasks, for example, Cut/ Fill surface calculation, Horizontal/ Vertical Alignment design, Drainage design, Surface analysis... Most of the case, the model would go to do the visualization after the model was built. The model also can export to Autodesk 3D Studio Max for doing the impressive visualization.

The Autodesk design review 2007 may be help you for sharing the design with another parties.

The Autodesk Civil 3D 2007 could supported a various of geospatial file formats; if you need to open some of the proprietary file (e.g. *.e00, *.tab, V8 dgn), you can use the map feature (From the "Map" pull-down menu --> Select "Tools" --> Select "Import..") to import the file and going to edit the file.
